In 2011 I was interviewed (along with David McCullough, Robert Caro, and a number of other legends I have no business sharing a sentence with) for a documentary called The Typewriter (In the 21st Century). I was allegedly representing the small but fervent clique of younger writers who still compose using a manual typewriter. The film is now screening across the country and to my great relief the producers have edited my segment in such a way that I sound halfway coherent! Further information (including a screening schedule) can be found here

My review of Rub Out the Words: The Letters of William S. Burroughs 1959-1974 will be appearing in the print edition of Blurt Magazine, which is going to press...right about now. A longer version of the piece appeared on the Blurt website as William S. Burroughs Reassessed.
